Insight Yoga uses slow mindful vinyasa sequences alongside deeply restorative yin yoga poses, balancing the yin (Earth/stable) and yang (Heaven/dynamic) qualities in the body, resulting in a balanced feeling of relaxation with vibrancy.
The practice is slow and mindful, allowing each person to work at their own pace. You will be guided through mindfulness meditation methods to open the heart and increase feelings of calm and well-being, deeply unwinding inner tensions and clearing the mind to allow for more clarity of attention.
The workshop will include yin yoga, vinyasa and meditation mingled with loving kindness, the 4 foundations of mindfulness and inward-drawn self-inquiry.
Sarah Owen is one of the first teachers to introduce Yin Yoga to the Australian audience. She is the only Insight Yoga teacher in Australia, endorsed by Sarah Powers’ Insight Yoga Institute. She has been mentored by Sarah Powers (founder and author of Insight Yoga) for almost a decade and is the coordinator for Sarah Powers' Insight Yoga Institute programs in Australia.
