Instead of mindfulness, which we know as a style of meditation, restorative yoga is a bodyfulness practice
A restorative pose is a refuge from the past, and from the future. The past baggage that I have, my anxiety - which is a pattern that we learn, about creating a future that is perfect for me, safe for me. So the restorative moment is the ultimate refuge from my personal past, my personal future. Therefore it is a state of Moksha, of liberation.
